Curtain Call is a theater review show based in Chicago. Each episode sends 3 theatergoers to see three different performances. Immediately following each performance they convene at a local hotspot to discuss what they’ve just seen. The diversity of the group and the immediacy of the experience combine to create a truly dynamic conversation. Humorous insights, lively disagreements and honest opinions from everyday people combine with clips from the shows to give the viewer an insider’s look at the theatrical experience. Curtain Call not only reviews and promotes the productions, but also gives the viewer a gentle nudge to go out and experience them for themselves. Starting with local theater in Chicago, Curtain Call plans to expand to cover multiple markets and national touring companies.
The driving forces behind the Curtain Call show include Twisted Media’s Derek Frederickson who directed, shot, edited and animated the show’s graphics. Charissa Armon provided her talents as host and writer, and Tom Mullen produced. See more at the Curtain Call website.
